Mr. Marlow was born on Dec. 6, 1927, in LaPrairie a son of Guy and Pauline Cox Marlow. He married Phyllis Icenogle on April 9, 1950 in Rushville. Phyllis survives of Quincy.
He served his country during World War II in the United States Navy, then, served during the Korean War in the United States Army/
He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Quincy and a former member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Golden. He was a member of the Golden American Legion and the 40&8 Club.
He enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, golfing, boating, caneing, playing cards, and tinkering. He was a jack of all trades.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Marlow of LaCrescent, Minn., and Beth (Roger) Frye of Virginia Beach, Va.; two grandchildren, Luke and Hailey Frye of Virginia Beach; one sister, Jean (John) O'Neal of Augusta; and one sister-in-law, Nancy Perry of Augusta.
He was preceded in death by two children, Lynne and David Marlow; four brothers, Bill, Kenny, Jack and Coursey Marlow; and five sisters, Goldie Woodword, Darlene O'Brien, Mary Alexander, Rosella Bailey and Louise Perry.
SERVICES: 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Golden with Pastor Marlin Rempfer and Pastor Mike Grieve conducting. Interment will be in Golden Memorial Gardens with military rites by the Golden American Legion.
VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. tonight (Friday) in Hunter Funeral Home, Golden.
