Bertha Elizabeth Richmiller, 98, of Liberty formerly of rural Mendon passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 in her daughters home in Liberty.
Bertha was born on April 24, 1919 in Quincy to the late John L. and Anna (Waterman) Wietholder. She married Leroy L. Richmiller on January 16, 1937 in St. John’s Catholic Church in Quincy by the late Father Schlepphorst.
She was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Mendon, the Altar Society and the Adams County Farm Bureau. She enjoyed gardening, hunting, cooking, baking, sewing, mushroom hunting, helping in the fields picking corn by hand.
Surviving are; two sons, Ronald (Alvenia) Richmiller of Mendon, Robert Richmiller of Liberty; one daughter, Mary (Wayne) Warning of Liberty and a very special family friend, whom she thought of as a son, Paul Lange.
Also surviving are; grandchildren, Tonya R. Richmiller, John K. (Reaka) Richmiller, Gayla A. Richmiller. Todd (Mary Kay) Logan, Brad Shull, Travis (Kari) Shull; great-grandchildren, Anna Richmiller, Zachary (Mackensie) Conners, Cody Lear, Brooklynn (James) Aschemann, Tiger (Julie) Logan, Nicholas Logan, Heaven (Billy) Schoonover, Katie Shull, Faith Shull, Wolfgang Shull, Cody Shull, Austin Shull, Madison Shull; great-great-grandchildren, Addilynn Conners, Liam James Logan, Beau Matthew Logan, Bryson Shull, Aislynn Shull, Ollie Schoonover, Willow Schoonover, Lillian Schoonover and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by; two brothers, John Jr. and Lawrence Wietholder; one sister, Clara Ann Ash, and one granddaughter, Trina Marie Logan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 in St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Mendon with Fr. Jeff Stone and Fr. Lou Schlangen officiaiting. Interment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Quincy. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon with a Rosary Service at 7:15 P.M. In addition to masses at St. Edward’s, Memorial contributions have been suggested to The Unity Point Hospice or the Alzheimers Association.
