Carol K. Kent, 76, of Quincy passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 in Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Carol was born on July 16, 1940 in Quincy to the late Alfred and Adeline (Bruns) Albers. She married Jack D. Kent on December 27, 1996 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Golden. Jack survives of Quincy.
Carol was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Quincy, where she was also in the church choir. She was an avid seamstress, making dance clothes and Halloween costumes for the grandchildren. She loved flower gardening, and Maltese dogs, especially her own dog Buddy.
Survivors include; one son, Alan (Becky) Hartley of Quincy, one step-son, Steve Kent of LaSalle, five grandchildren, Lauren (Henry) Voss of Mendon, Abby (Casey) Jackson of Quincy. Kristina (boyfriend Austin Brinkman) Hartley, Alexandra Kent of LaSalle, Zachary Kent of LaSalle, three great-grandchildren, Blake Voss, Georgia Voss, Charlie Piccato and one due in June. Also surviving are; one sister, Ruthy (Brad) Burget of Florida and one brother, Robert (Carmen) Albers of Quincy.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 2, 2017 in the Hunter Funeral Home in Golden with Pastor Tim White officiating. Interment will be in Immanuel Cemetery in Golden. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 in the Hunter Funeral Home in Golden.
