Christine Buss

Christine Iva Buss, (67) passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Good Samaritan in Quincy, Illinois. Christine was born on January 1, 1955, in Quincy, Illinois to Harvey Taylor and Alta (Cantrell) Rose.

Christine married Bradley Buss on November 10, 2001, in Mendon, Illinois.  Together they blended their family and friends and enjoyed spending time with those they cared about.  Christine was an avid bowler for a time and played in her regular league with various sponsors throughout her time with her team.

Christine also loved to be outside, camping, fishing, and she also loved to be out in her garden.  She was also very crafty and enjoyed crochet and doing ceramics.  She worked in the service industry for a time and was a security guard.

She is survived by her loving husband, sons; Jerry Gray, and Richard (Jen Jones) Gray of Fowler, Illinois; step-children Bradley Buss of Quincy, Illinois, Anthony (Mandy) Buss of Paloma, Illinois; Grandchildren Nathan Buss, Destiney Buss, Austin Buss, Emily Buss, Brooke Buss, and Tyler Buss; and great-granddaughter Aria Rose Kinman; sisters Catherine Gieker, of Clayton, Illinois, Patricia (Gary) Freeman, of Mendon, Illinois, Amy (Danny) Palmer, Mendon, Illinois, and brother Michael (Tammy) Taylor, of Lafayette, Indiana.

Christine was predeceased by her parents.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022, after 4:00 PM, with family meeting friends between 6:00 and 7:30 at Triplett Funeral Homes, Mendon, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Triplett Funeral Home, Mendon.  Burial will follow immediately at Mendon Cemetery in Mendon, Illinois.

Memorials have been established for Alzheimer’s Association, Illinois Chapter, PO Box 231, Bloomington, Illinois, 61702.
