Christopher “Junior” E. Trent, 61, of Sutter, passed away on Tuesday evening, August 9, 2022, at his home in Sutter.
He was born on October 12, 1960, in Quincy, the son of Teresa (Wietholder) Beeler and the late Earl Trent.
Chris worked as a farmer for most of his life. He was of the Catholic faith. Chris loved to travel and enjoyed seeing the sites throughout the country. He liked fishing and he enjoyed racoon and mushroom hunting. Chris was especially fond of dogs and would often look after the dogs of others – continually providing treats. He could always be counted on to help others, regardless of the task.
In addition to his mother, Teresa Beeler of Sutter, Chris is survived by a son; Mike Ward of Maryville, three brothers; Scott (Marlene) Trent of Sutter, Dan (Kim) Trent of Mendon and Mark Trent of Ursa and by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents; Lawrence & Caroline Wietholder and Arthur & Ermal Trent.
A graveside service honoring Chris’s life will be conducted at 9:00 am on Monday, August 22, 2022, at the Franklin Cemetery in Mendon. Rev. Scott Snider will preside. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery. The Triplett Funeral Home in Mendon has been entrusted with the care and arrangements. Memorial contributions in memory of Chris are suggested to the Quincy K9 Connection or to Quincy Catholic Charities.
