Corey Bedenbender

Corey S. Bedenbender, 55, of Griggsville and formerly of Rushville, passed away at 6:03 pm on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri.

He was born on April 25, 1969, the son of George & Bonnie (Galliher) Bedenbender. He married Angela Christine Kopps the daughter of the late Robert & Barabara Kopps on April 30, 2000, in the Griggsville United Methodist Church and she survives.

Corey worked for nearly 30 years with DOT Foods in Mt. Sterling as an administrator/specialist over information technology.He would be celebrating 30 years as of August 28th, 2025. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed being outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. enjoyed boating and swimming. Corey was a master mason and was a member of Griggsville Lodge #45.

In addition to his wife of 24 years, Angela, Corey is survived by his parents, George & Bonnie Bedenbender of Rushville, two sons; Johnathon S. Bedenbender and Joshua R. Bedenbender, both of Griggsville and by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services honoring Corey’s life will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the Triplett & Wood Funeral Home of Rushville. Interment will follow at the Griggsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be conducted immediately following the visitation and will be under the auspices of Griggsville Lodge #45. Memorial contributions in memory of Corey are suggested to the American Heart Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
