Darlene Lung

Darlene Marie Lung, 90, of Canton, passed away at 4:58 AM, Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Sunset Manor in Canton.

She was born on May 9, 1927, in Ray, Illinois, the daughter of Herschel and Eula Marie (Stephens) Cook, Sr. She married Roy “Bud” Lung in August 1959 in Brooklyn, Illinois and he survives

Also surviving are four sisters-in-law Edna Peterson and husband Robert and Helen Caldwell Koester all of Macomb, Emmie Vawter of Industry and Theda Bedwell of Peoria, and several nieces and nephews including Marsha Livers of Canton, Mark Cook and wife Cheryl of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Jerry Cook and wife Linda of St. David and Sue Murphy and husband Rod of Canton.  She was preceded in death by two brothers Herschel Cook, Jr. and Cecil Cook.

Darlene was a homemaker.  She and Bud loved roller skating and would travel around the state to different rinks.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at the Rushville City Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials are suggested to the Schuyler County Humane Society.
