Donald Britt

Donald D. Britt, 76, of Quincy, died on Tuesday (June 24, 2014) in the Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Don was born on Aug. 21, 1937, in New London, Mo., a son of the late Orlie and Velma Mullenix Britt.

Don was a member of the Augusta Assembly of God Church in Augusta. He enjoyed music and playing his guitar.

Surviving are seven children, Marty Britt of Ursa, Emily Johnson of Ursa, Ashley (Joe) Morris of Vista, Calif., Donald (Gayla) Britt Jr. of Clayton, Marlin Britt of Quincy, Raymond Britt of Unionville, Mo., Connie (Mark) Goedereis of Ohio; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack Britt of New London, Mo.; one sister, Susan (Jim) Stover of Green Rock, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Orlie Britt Jr., Forrest Dale Britt, Birney Gene Britt and three sisters, Nancy Engolm, Shirley Burnett and Joyce Hudson.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Monday, June 30, in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon, with Pastors Jerry and Patsy Spratt officiating. Interment will be in Graymount Cemetery in Coatsburg.

VISITATION: There will be no visitation but friends are invited to the services.
