Doris Sherrick

Doris A. Sherrick, 91, of Golden passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 in the Golden Good Shepherd Home in Golden.

Doris was born on February 20, 1925 in Honey Creek Township to the late Arthur Amos and Anna (Taylor) Tallcott. She married Hubert R. Sharrow on February 22, 1944 in her parents’ home in Mendon. Hubert passed away on December 17, 1976. She later married Harry Neal Sherrick on October 11, 1983 in rural Loraine. Harry passed away on August 17, 1994.

Doris was a member of Centennial –Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Adams County Home Extensiion, United Methodist Women, Golden Good Shepherd Auxillary and was a longtime 4-H leader. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, gardening, quilting and making cards.

Surviving are; four children, Roger (Virginia) Sharrow of Golden, Virginia (Bill) Hosking of Springfield, Kathleen (Dennis) Totsch of Liberty, Carol (Morris) Fee of Glasford, ten grandchildren, Brian (Nicola) Hosking, Michael (Katrina) Hosking, Jeffrey (Julie) Sharrow, Joseph Sharrow, Teresa Sharrow, Valerie Totsch, Vanessa Totsch, Carmel Fee, Alicia Fee, Natalie Fee, thirteen great- grandchildren, Alexander and Lillian Hosking, Julius, Jayden and Lily Sharrow, Hugh and Lauryn Sharrow, Ariel, Spencer and Anna Lile, Sydney Cooper, Autumn Totsch and Andrew Birkelbaw.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Robert and one sister Helen.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in the Centennial –Ebenezer Church near Loraine with Reverend Sheila Kelley officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M until the time of services in the church on Wednesday. In Lieu of Flowers memorial contributions have been suggested to the Centennial –Ebenezer Church or The Ebenezer Chapel Cemetery.
