Dorothy E. Robbins, 93, of LaPrairie passed away at 4:50 P.M. on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in the Sunset Home in Quincy.

Dorothy was born on April 18, 1923 in LaPrairie to the late Joseph and Alvaree (Clark) Utter. She married Ercil “Shorty” Robbins on October 1, 1941 in Kahoka, Missouri. Shorty passed away on June 25, 1992.

Dorothy graduated from LaPrairie High School. She was a homemaker and helped operate her husband’s fertilizer business and her son’s crop dusting business. She was a member of Elm Grove United Methodist Church. She enjoyed RV trips, fishing with her husband, her yellow labs, gardening and cooking.

Survivors include a son, Gary Robbins of LaPrairie, three grandchildren, Tom (Susan) Churchill of Boulder, CO., Jill Churchill of Quincy, Brad Churchill of Tucson, AZ., and four great grandchildren, Aloha, Tim Rose and Kylee Churchill.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Glenn Utter, one sister, Ruth Dolbeare, and one daughter, Carole (Joe) Churchill.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 24, 2016 in the Hunter Funeral Home in Golden with Reverend Dixie Croxton officiating. Interment will follow in the Golden Memorial Gardens in Golden. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M until the time of services in the Funeral Home on Saturday.
