Dorothy Woodworth

Dorothy M. Woodworth, 96, of 728 South 15th Street in Quincy passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Dorothy was born on January 18, 1920 in Avoca, WI to the late Joseph and Lettie (Olson) Arneson. She married Albert L. “Bud” Woodworth on September 16, 1939 in Waukon, IA. Bud passed away on February 15, 2004.
Dorothy helped her husband at the filling stations, her and Bud owned in Ursa and Marcelline, before moving to Wisconsin, where they lived for 32 years. The also owned a farmette in Ursa for many years. Dorothy loved people and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are; one daughter, Nancy Woodworth of McFarland, WI, four grandchildren Daniel DeLacy, Donald (Laura) DeLacy, Doreen DeLacy, Robert (Maryann) DeLacy all of the Rockford area, three great-grandchildren, David DeLacy of Davenport, IA, Amand DeLacy, Nicholas DeLacy both of the Rockford area, one sister, Betty Updike of Edgerton, WI.and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joan DeLacy and son-in-law, Robert DeLacy.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 30, 2016 in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon withvid Pastor Walt Wilcoxson . Interment will be New Providence Cemetery, near Ursa. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday, April 30, 2016 in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon. Memorials have been suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
