Edna was born July 29, 1922, in Golden to the late John and Margaret Herren Goldenstein. She married George F. Gerdes on Oct. 27, 1946, in Golden. George survives of Bowen.
Edna was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Golden. She worked for Golden Good Shepherd Home for more than 20 years as a nurse's aide and was a volunteer with RSVP. She loved sewing, gardening, baking and taking walks with her dog, Tippey.
Surviving are three daughters, Wanda (Ron) Hirschauer of Fowler, Linda (Jim) Lewis of Quincy and Inez Totsch of Quincy; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother, Chalmer (Bonnie) Goldenstein of Quincy; and a sister-in-law, Mary Goldenstein, of Golden.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Orville Goldenstein.
SERVICES: 11 a.m. Monday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Golden, with Pastor Barbara Ziah conducting. Interment will be in Golden Memorial Gardens, Golden.
VISITATION: 10 a.m. until time of services Monday in the church.
