Edward Bienhoff

Edward C. Bienhoff, 89, of La Prairie passed away at 12:10 A.M. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 in his home.

Edward was born on May 5, 1927 in the same home he has lived in all his life. He was the son of the late Claus G. and Lena (Schuster) Bienhoff. He married Catherine Albert on August 8, 1951 in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Golden. Catherine survives of La Prairie.

Edward served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a lifelong farmer and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he taught Sunday school and was a member of their men’s group.  He was an assistant leader of Boy Scout Troop 42 in Golden for over 20 years, Golden Lions Club and he enjoyed reading.

In addition to Catherine, surviving are; four children, Kevin (Connie Spurgeon) of Timewell, Lynda (Tim) Hoosier of Golden, Sheryl (Paul) Mizwicki of O’Fallon, Mo., Vickie (Danny) Cundiff of Springfield, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 31, 2016 in Trinity Lutheran Church in Golden with Reverend Brad Eidson and Chaplain Richard Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Golden Memorial Gardens in Golden with military rites by the Golden American Legion Post 801. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 30, 2016 in the Hunter Funeral Home in Golden.
