Georgia Ann Byrd

Georgia Ann (Claassen) Byrd, 68, of Rushville, passed away at 3:10 AM, Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at the Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rushville.

She was born on July 21, 1951, in Cass County, Illinois, the daughter of George and Alta (Lashbrook) Claassen.

Surviving are two children Holly Acheson and William “Bill” Phillips both of Rushville, two granddaughters Keely and Katie Acheson, her mother Alta Claassen of Rushville, one sister Julie Zorn and husband Randy of Coldwater, Michigan, one nephew Jackson Wayne Zorn, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her father and brother Wayne Claassen.

Ann was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 17 years in surrounding nursing facilities.

Graveside Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 12, 2019, at the Rushville City Cemetery, with Pastor Larry DeSha officiating.  Interment will follow.  Memorials are suggested the Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Activity Fund.
