Jeromy J. Shepherd, 47, of Ursa passed away at 7:16 A.M on Friday, January 27, 2017 in Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Jeromy was born on October 23, 1969 in Kirksville, Missouri to the late Mike Shepherd and Debbie (Howard) Shepherd. He married Carrie Ann Shaffer on July 2, 2012 in Quincy. Carrie Survives of Ursa.

Jeromy was an engineer with the BNSF Railroad. He was an Avid Kansas City Chiefs Fan and loved photography, graphic arts, cooking and spending time with his family.

Surviving are two children, Melia and Michael Shepherd, both of Brookfield, Mo., one brother, Jim (Penny) Shepherd of Knoxville, one sister, Regina (Robert) Warner of Jefferson City, Mo., Father and Mother-in-law, David and Karen Shaffer of Ursa, a special uncle, Doug (Lisa) Shepherd of Lancaster, Mo., a brother-in-law, Jeff (Michelle) Shaffer of Imperial, MO., a special friend, Kevin (Lori) Gregory of Montrose, IA., and several additional aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be 6:30 P.M. on Saturday, February 4, 2016 in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon with Father Jeff Stone officiating. A memorial gathering will be from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been suggested to the children’s education fund in care of the North Adams State Bank in Ursa.
