Joseph "Joe" Kendrick

Joseph “ Joe” Kendrick, 89, of Mendon passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 in the North Adams Home in Mendon.

Joe was born on September 5, 1928 in Macomb to the late Truman and Lelia Kendrick. He married Murna Delores Worman on May 5, 1948 in Mt. Sterling. He later married Mary Ann Nethington on April 13, 1991. Mary Ann passed away on October 11, 2001.

Joe was the owner of Kendrick Garage in Mendon for almost 50 years. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Mendon, The Eagles Club, American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, redoing and selling bicycles and going to and having yard sales.

Surviving are; five sons, Danny Jo (Kay) Kendrick of Coperas Cove, TX., Frederick Lee (Marsha) Kendrick of Quincy, Ronald Lyle Kendrick of Mendon, Jeffery Lynn (Sheli) Kendrick of Dunnellon, FL., James Lloyd (Kim) Kendrick of Algonquin; his companion, Linda Knowles of Durham, Mo.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Kendrick of Quincy and several nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by; five siblings, Noel Kendrick, Donald Kendrick, Wilma Lanning, Zelma Kendrick Jackson and Freda Cantrell.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon with Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Mendon Cemetery in Mendon. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M until the time of services on Tuesday in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon.  Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Blessing Cancer Center or the First Congregational Church of Mendon.
