June Snell

June Ann Snell, 62, of Loraine passed away at 8:13 P.M. on Friday, April 10, 2020 in her home.

June was born on October 14, 1957 in Highland Park. She was the daughter of James C. Snell and Stephanie Olejniczak-Weilgozs.

June was a 1975 graduate of Dwight D. Eisenhower High School and attended cosmetology school and held an Illinois Cosmetologist License. She enjoyed her career and was an excellent stylist. She was an avid and loyal cubs fan. June and Pete moved to the tri-state area in 2004, making Loraine their home.She enjoyed gardening, fishing and animals. She also enjoyed her memories of all the times spent with her family and friends and sitting and reflecting on those times.

Surviving are; one daughter, Anna (Colin) Florian of St. Louis, Mo., a loving friend and companion, Pete Zuniga of Loraine, one sister, Jayne (Paul) Targgart of Valparaiso, IN., her dearly loved nieces and nephews, Paul Targgart, Jr., Sherome Snell, Autumn Snell, Brandy Targgart, Bryanna Snell, her best friend, Chris “Tina” Brown of Loraine and many loving cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Howard Snell, Jo Ann Snell, James “Jimmy” Snell and Bryan Snell.

Private services will be held. Interment will be in Curless Cemetery, near Loraine. Memorial contributions have been suggested the United Methodist Church of Loraine, 610 East Center Street, Loraine, Illinois 62349.
