Laura Quigg

MENDON, Ill. -- Laura K. Quigg, 103, of Mendon died Sunday (Jan. 4, 2015) in the North Adams Home in Mendon.

Laura was born May 29, 1911, in Palmyra, Mo., to the late George and Carrie (Johnson) Bower. She married Charles L. Quigg on Nov. 27, 1940, in Hannibal, Mo. Charles died May 18, 1988.

Laura was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Mendon and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading, gardening, making cinnamon rolls, and her beloved dog and cats.

Surviving are one son, Donald (Ann Schafer) Quigg of Mendon, and one niece, Connie (Gary) Tilleros of Waterford, Wis.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Loren Bower, and one sister, Helen Hazelrigg.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan 8, in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon, with the Rev. Patrick Monroe officiating. Interment will be in the Mendon Cemetery in Mendon.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. Thursday until services in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon.
