Mark Kleemeyer

Mark Edward Kleemeyer, age 57, of Mendon, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 10:40AM at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 17, 1964, in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Elmer and Bertha Louise “Bertie” McClelland Kleemeyer.

Mark attended Unity Schools in Mendon, Illinois.  He had worked as a commercial painter, working on many large buildings and water towers.  He was warm and welcoming, kind and loving, and made friends with anyone he met.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially his 2004 Harley Davidson Super Glide. He loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews and was a wonderful, son, brother, and uncle.

Mark is survived by his mother, Bertie Kleemeyer of Mendon, Illinois; a brother, James (Candace) Kleemeyer of Lima, Illinois; two sisters:  Mary Kleemeyer of Rushville, Illinois and Sue Ellen Mohr of Quincy, Illinois; nieces and nephews:  Rob, Amy, Matthew, Jason, Nathan, Erika, Todd, Laurie, Amanda, Elizabeth, and Megan; and many great nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents:  Bert & Grace McClelland; his father:  Elmer Kleemeyer; a brother:  David; a sister:  Charlotte; and a niece:  Jessica.

Cremation rites have been accorded

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Mendon City Cemetery, Mendon, Illinois.  A memorial has been established.
