MENDON, Ill. -- Mary M. Daugherty, 87, of Mendon died at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday, (June 4, 2014) in North Adams Home, Mendon.
Mary was born on March 22, 1927, in Loraine a daughter of Glenn T. and Elsie M. Lambert Adair.
She married Leland E. Daugherty on Feb. 25, 1944, in Quincy. Leland died on Feb. 12, 2008.
Mary enjoyed cooking for the AMVETS, traveling, camping, working on crafts, gardening and canning.
Survivors include, four sons, David (Mary B.) Daugherty, Jim (Sharon) Daugherty, Bill (Evelyn) Daugherty, and Ron (Mary Jean) Daugherty, all of Mendon; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy (Clifford) Brown of Quincy.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Emery; and one half brother, John Adair.
SERVICES: Mary's ashes will be buried at a later date on the family farm next to Leland. The family will notify the public of the date and time if anyone wishes to attend.
