Mildred I. Crum, 87, of Rushville, more recently of Walker Nursing Home in Virginia, passed away at 11:45 AM, Sunday, May 7, 2017, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
She was born on August 21, 1929, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the daughter of Thomas Edward and Printha Esther (Crabtree) White. She married H. Don Crum on June 23, 1947, in Rockford. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1999.
Surviving are one son Stacey James of Chatham, one daughter Deanna Clapp of Concordia, Kansas, one daughter-in-law Mindy Crum of Rushville, three grandchildren Mallory Moore and husband Brandon, Tyler Crum and fiancé Emily Kliffmiller, and Ambir Clapp, four great grandchildren Dani Jean, Rayelynn, Andrea and Javan Moore, one brother Benjamin White and wife Karen of Grafton, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son Danny Crum, two brothers Tommy White and Nyland White and two sisters Mary Jane White and Dorothy Brown.
Mildred was a homemaker and attended the Rushville Free Methodist Church. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family.
Services will be at 11:30 AM, Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville, with Reverend Rob Kirkham officiating. Interment will follow in the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville. Memorials are suggested to Rushville Free Methodist Church.
