Norma J. Forman

Norma Jean Forman, 67, of Rushville, passed away at 2:19 am on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at her home.

She was born on February 11, 1957, in Macomb, the daughter of the late Marvin Smith & Norma Jean (Gossage) Smith-Teel. Norma married Philip Forman on November 18, 1973, at her mother’s home in Macomb and he survives.

Norma was a homemaker for most of her life; however, she did enjoy a career at DOT Foods in Mt. Sterling for over ten years. Norma was a very creative and artistic person. She enjoyed expressing her art through several mediums, but mostly through painting. One of her favorite works of art was a pencil sketch that she did of her granddaughter, Madison. She had a love for cake decorating, knitting, making blankets for her loved ones, photography and crafting. Her family was most important to her, and she loved to spend time with them all.

In addition to her husband of 52 years, Phil, of Rushville, Norma is survived by her children; Angie Forman of Morton & Michael Forman of Macomb, four grandchildren; McKenzie & Madison Smith and Malachi & Layla Forman, a brother; Robert Teel of Macomb, a sister; Margaret Teel of Macomb, several nieces and nephews and by her beloved dog, Cinnamon.

Funeral services honoring Norma’s life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 6. 2025, at the Triplett & Wood Funeral Home of Rushville. Pastor Matt McAnally will preside. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery in rural Rushville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
