Patricia was born Nov. 5, 1937, in Quincy, to the late Virgil "Red" and Mary (Reinold) Steinkamp. She married Maurice L. Koch on Oct. 20, 1962, at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Quincy, and he survives. Maurice and Patricia have known each other since they were 15 years old.
Patricia was a 1955 graduate of Quincy High School. She had worked for a beauty shop in Quincy, Rand McNally in Chicago, Frericks Gardens in Quincy, Edgewood Apple Orchard and had operated her own beauty shop in her home.
She was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Mendon, where she was a member of the Altar Society and their Leisure Club. She was a member of the Mississippi Valley Historical Antique Automobile Club, Adams County Olde Tyme Association, Goldwing Road Rider Club and the Eagles Club.
Patricia enjoyed drawing, woodcarving, gardening, genealogy, walking and riding motorcycles.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice of Mendon; one son, Michael W. Koch of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one daughter, Brenda (Lee) Mudd of New London, Mo.; two grandchildren, Brother Nathaneal Mudd, CPM, of the Fathers of Mercy based in South Union, Ky., and he is currently attending Atheneum Seminary in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Anna Mudd, attending Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Carol (Ken) Hilgenbrink; and two brothers, Virgil "Bud" Steinkamp and Robert Steinkamp.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church at Mendon. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery at Quincy.
VISITATION: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Hunter Funeral Home at Mendon, with a rosary service at 4 p.m.
MEMORIALS: St. Edwards, the Fathers of Mercy or the Parkinsons Foundation.
