Tom was born on Oct. 24, 1961, in Quincy to William and Doloris (Evans) Duncan. They survive of Fowler.
He was a cattleman and grain farmer and also owned and operated the Thomas R. Duncan Livestock Trucking Company. He had a passion for cattle reproduction and genetics as well as being an avid farmer and horseman. He was a member of the Illinois Beef Association and a recipient of the State FFA Degree. He won the American Royal Livestock Judging Competition. He loved being a livestock auctioneer and loved team sorting and raising Angus cattle.
Tom attended the first Congregational Church of Mendon.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children, Dallas Duncan and her fiance, Travis Mateer, of Mount Sterling and Cutter Duncan of Fowler; two brothers, James Duncan and his wife, Julie, of Chesterfield, Mo., and Robert Duncan and his companion, Pam Zey, of Prairie Home, Mo.; one sister, Cynthia Duncan and her husband, Dennis, of Normal; and several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon with the Rev. Dennis Gartung officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery, near Fowler.
VISITATION: 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
MEMORIALS: Adams County Fair Horse Events, with checks made out to the Adams County Fair.
