Valerie Sprinkle

Valerie J. Sprinkle, 73, of Rushville, passed away at 6:11 pm on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at her home.

She was born on October 4, 1951, in Rushville, the daughter of the late Robert & Iris (Ingles) Lang. Val was a graduate of Rushville High School with the class of 1969.

Val worked for many years with Western Illinois University as a receptionist, retiring in 2010. She enjoyed going out for dinner, bowling, shopping and seeing friends. She was a past member of the Women of the Moose in Rushville. 

She is survived by her daughter; Kelly Ann Knous of Littleton, her granddaughter; Tayler J. Knous of Macomb, a sister; Melody Burke of Rushville, a brother; Kevin (Mary) Lang of Peoria and by nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Val’s wishes, cremation rites were accorded and a memorial service honoring her life will be conducted at 5:00 pm on Thursday,  November 7, 2024 at the Triplett & Wood Funeral Home of Rushville. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until the time of services on Thursday. Memorial contributions in memory of Val are suggested to the Schuyler County Humane Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
